One Year's School Fees for a Girl Whose Father Delivers Food
Coimbatore District · Tamil Nadu
Coimbatore DistrictA young schoolgirl's father keeps the family going as a food delivery rider. He is on the road from morning to night, in the hot sun and in the rain, and what he earns pays the rent and puts food on the table. This year, the school fees are what it cannot stretch to.
The family is not in extreme poverty. It is one step away from it, and one hard year could take it there. At Alorah we believe that helping the poor is only half of a healthy society. The other half is holding a family on the right side of that step before it falls.
What Alorah is raising for
₹40,000, one year's school fees, as support for one year while the family steadies itself. It is paid directly to the school against its fee bill. Nothing is handed over in cash, and the receipt comes from the school.

How we reach donors
Up to 20% of what a need raises may be spent on advertising it on Facebook, Instagram and Google, so it reaches enough people in time. Sharing it on WhatsApp costs nothing and keeps that share down.
Our promises to you
- No pressure to give. Every appeal leaves the choice with you.
- Paid where the need is. The money goes to the hospital, school or supplier against its own bill, never in cash to anyone.
- No calls asking for money. Nobody from the trust will ring you asking you to give.
- Nothing left idle. If a need is fully met, ends early, or the person we were helping passes away, what was not spent stays in the same cause fund and goes to the next person in that cause.
